Critical Injury in Oxnard - Staying Alert at All Times

The Ventura County Star reports on an injury as a result from a traffic accident on Monday, October 25th. A driver in the middle lane traveling down Ventura Road hit two cars and began spinning until they hit a support pillars at a 101 overpass. The vehicle on the left side hit a water main and required fire crews’ assistance to get out of the vehicle. Before the crash, all of the cars were in their own lane, but the crash is still under investigation to determine the cause of the accident. All members in the crash were transported to the hospital and all were released except one male passenger who is in critical condition.

It is only takes one second to become distracted and get involved in an accident. Fortunately, most of those involved walked away. A single, momentary distraction on the road can cause a collision and put numerous people at risk. The U.S. Government’s official website for distracted driving reveals, “In 2014, 3,179 people were killed, and 431,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashed involving distracted drivers.” Those numbers are nothing short of shocking.
